The role is for an entry level colleague (Aon early career stage) with the core competencies and behaviours required for the role. The requirement is to gain a solid technical grounding to develop further into a professional practitioner.
Support Senior Brokers and Brokers in the efficient delivery of all market (and network) facing activity within scope of responsibility.
The candidate would be working in Aon’s Transaction Liability Unit which specializes in the placement of insurance products to support clients involved in M&A transactions. The team is expanding in response to the rapid growth of this exciting market place over the past three years.
About the Role
As a Broker Specialist I some of your key responsibilities will involve:
Core functional activity:
Send and receive NDA’s from clients/ network and insurers
Send initial engagement to client/network
Work up initial market submissions (to be reviewed and completed by more senior colleagues)
Work up initial client reports (to be reviewed and completed by more senior colleagues)
Send Cover confirmation to client/network
Complete quote/firm order information in Brokasure including finalise MRC
Provide invoicing instructions and liaise with accounts / TOT as appropriate to ensure timely issue of invoices and / or response to accounts queries
Complete pre placement compliance checks prior to marketing
Assist with management of pipelines
Take responsibility for management and update of team deal data across EMEA
Some data analysis to produce market and client facing collateral
Secondary functional activity:
Follow market broking
Occasional (optional) functional activity:
Providing benchmarking and placement advice to clients
Produce and/or deliver tenders
Client relationship management (direct clients and/or network)
Client meetings
Lead quote broking
Market relationship management
Define marketing strategy (specific to placement)
Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.
