Transport and logistics companies could save approximately £300,000 per annum if they review their current processes and implement mobile technology according to a survey by Intermec.
With the increasing demand for same-day delivery from customers, existing processes need to be evaluated to ensure high levels of customer service are maintained, costs are reduced and efficiency is improved.
Mobile, location-based technology is key to improving operations. Jeff Sibio, industry director for transport & logistics at Intermec, said: ‘Ignoring process change simply isn’t a long term option.’
