A recent survey by the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) has found that lack of time is the main factor hindering Continuing Professional Development (CPD) among accounting and finance staff.
In a survey of more than 1500 AAT members, over half of respondents listed a lack of time as the most common reason for neglecting their professional development.
The research also found that members typically take sole responsibility for planning their learning and development. Sixty-five per cent admitted as such, with 30% of members planning jointly with their managers.
