A number of advertising agencies have submitted formal complaints to the government after being omitted from its creative roster.
Executives from Dare, Mother London and Karmarama have confirmed that they have now made formal appeals.
Ten creative agencies made it onto the creative roster in February, however it came as a surprise to many that agencies with long standing relationships with the Central Office of Information were not included.
Concerns have now been raised over the integrity of the bid process which saw 80 agencies submit for a place on the roster.
The Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA) have also voiced concerns that the bid process was too complex and failed to take into account past success, effectiveness and experience.
The creative agencies on the roster are:
- Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO
- DLKW Lowe
- M&C Saatchi
- McCann Erickson
- Ogilvy & Mather
- Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R.
