Despite the current patent trial between Samsung and Apple, the former is now the biggest smartphone manufacturer with 21.6% of the global market.
Growth was reportedly driven to over 30% by record sales of the Galaxy range which accounts for over half of all Samsung devices.
Nokia’s market share has continued to decline, however they are still the second biggest smartphone makers with 19.9% of the market share.
Consumer demand for the Apple iPhone has dropped as sales fell 12.6%. They are the third largest producer, however their market share at 6.9% is much smaller than their competitors.
